SHIMOKITAZAWA
Do you like vintage clothes? How about record stores, music venues or coffee shops? We’ve got the place for you. Shimokitazawa, or Shimokita, as the locals call it, is one of Tokyo’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Located in Setagaya ward, it’s just 15 minutes by train from Shibuya and Shinjuku but quicker on an express. The area is packed with independent hole-in-the-wall cafes, fashion stores, bars and live houses. Perfect for a bohemian night out. It’s not as well known by tourists, so you can expect a more laid-back time exploring the streets. Read on below for some of our favourite things to do in Shimokitazawa.
