ONSEN
Do you love a good bath? Japan is the place for you. Japan is located in the volcanically active ‘Pacific Ring of Fire’ so is prone to frequent earthquakes. This activity is responsible for some of Japan’s most devastating events. On the other hand, it has also formed many stunning mountains, valleys and geothermal hot springs, or onsen, in Japan. For centuries, people have sought out these onsen for the therapeutic effects on the body and mind. Each is unique in its mineral composition and temperature so it’s appealing to visit many. With so many beautiful and relaxing hot springs around, read on to find out what we consider to be the best onsen in Japan.
