HARAJUKU
Takeshita Street
HARAJUKU
Harajuku is the quirky fashion capital of Tokyo. It’s loud, colourful and definitely kawaii. This suburb is a shopping mecca for both cosplayers and teens with cash to splash. The famous Takeshita Street is a sight to behold, as well as the more mellow backstreets stemming from it. There is something for all tastes here; eateries and stores range from cute, novelty and cheap to very upscale. If you like street food, you’ll be spoiled for choice as rainbow cotton candy and crepes abound. Art lovers will also dig the various galleries around, too. There are so many things to see, do and shop, so start by reading our favourite things to do in Harajuku.
